Welcome to Geek Glue!

Geek Glue is what we use to hold our projects together. For web developer's it is a sticky combination of html, css, javascript, server side scripting, SQL and perhaps some actionscript.

Do you remember using a piece of code and remember how it would be just ideal for the thing you are working on right now. But you can't quite remember how it goes. You've been trying for a while to get it to work. But somethings missing. I know that feeling. That's why I started Geek Glue.

Of course, it wasn't originally Geek Glue. It was a text document. But then I ended up with numerous versions of this text document (and different documents for different languages ; eg an actionscript one and a lingo one). They were on CD, they were on the server at work, on the C drive at home, on a floppy (I've been at it that long). But no two were the same and I never had the one I needed just when I needed it. So one day I realised it would be easier if it was online. That way I would have access to the one up-to-date version wherever I was. I had it with my online folio . Whenever I found a new entry I wanted I would email it to myself. So I could update the page when I got home.

That worked fairly well. But the actionscript page started to get a bit long. So I started looking for a better way. Wouldn't it be great if I could update and add entries wherever I was. If I could view one entry to a page without having to make hundreds of pages. If I could move between different languages easily. Well the answer was obvious and Geek Glue was born.
